Educational Qualification
For Accountant:
- Upper Division Clerks (UDCs) of CSCS: Candidates must have served for at least 10 years in the UDC grade under the Central Secretariat Clerical Service (CSCS). They should have undergone non-ministerial training in cash and account work at the Institute of Secretariat Training & Management or its equivalent. Additionally, they should possess a minimum of 8 years of experience in cash, accounts, and budget work.
- Officers Holding Analogous Posts: If candidates do not meet the above criteria, they should be officers currently working under the Central Government in similar positions.
- SAS, Accounts Clerks: Alternatively, candidates who have passed the Subordinate Accounts Service (SAS) exam or are clerks who have passed the SAS exam from any Organized Accounts Department are also eligible.
For Accounts Officer:
- Hold analogous posts on a regular basis: Candidates should currently hold similar positions in their parent cadre or department on a regular basis.
- Or have 5 years of service in the grade: Alternatively, candidates should have completed 5 years of service in the grade after their appointment to it on a regular basis.
- Qualifications Required: Candidates should possess any one of the following qualifications:
- Pass in SAS Examination: Candidates should have passed the Subordinate Accounts Service (SAS) examination or an equivalent examination conducted by any Organized Accounts Department of the Central Government.
- Successful Completion of Training: Candidates should have successfully completed training in cash and accounts work at the Institute of Secretariat Training & Management (ISTM) or its equivalent. Additionally, they should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in cash, accounts, and budget work.
